Description: A vulnerability has been identified in GameSpy allowing malicious IRC servers to cause a buffer overflow and possibly execute arbitrary code.
The problem is that when a user sends a "NICK" or "USER" command to the IRC server, GameSpy fails to handle replies longer than 262 characters properly. This allows malicious servers to cause a buffer overflow and possibly execute arbitrary code on the client system.
This has been reported to affect version 2.63.015 and prior.
Solution: Do not connect to untrusted IRC servers or use a different product.
