Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Novell Netware Broker, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose various system information.
The vulnerability is caused due to a lack of user authentication when accessing the Broker. This allows anyone to determine whether a Broker is running on a machine and gain knowledge of NDPS Broker stats like Broker objects and running Broker services.
Example:
http://[victim]:8008/Broker
The vulnerability affects Novell NetWare 6 and 5.1.
Solution: Novell states that the vulnerability will be fixed in the next support packs for those OSes (NW6SP4/NW51SP7).
Restrict access to port 8008/tcp.
