Description: Debian has issued updated packages for hztty. These fix some vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to escalate their privileges on a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to unspecified boundary errors, which can be exploited to cause buffer overflows and execute code with higher privileges on the system.
Furthermore, hztty has incorrectly been installed suid "root" instead of sgid "utmp".
