Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in sendmail possibly allowing malicious people to gain system access.

The problem has been identified in the "prescan()" function. Different attack vectors are possible. No further information is available.

A previous vulnerability was also located in this function.

Sendmail version 8.12.9 and prior is vulnerable.

Version 8.12.10 also fixes other potential issues.

Solution:
Apply this patch:
