Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in SNMPc, which can be exploited by malicious people to gain Supervisor access to a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to the program performing user authentication client side in combination with the use of a weak password encryption. This can be exploited by sending the Administrator username and an empty password to the server, which will return various user credentials including a weakly encrypted password associated with the user.

This makes it simple to gain knowledge of the real password and then gain access to the system.

The vulnerability has been reported to affect all versions up to and including 6.0.8.

Solution:
Apply fix.
