Description:
An information disclosure vulnerability has been identified in GBrowse, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose the content of arbitrary files on a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to missing validation of user input supplied to the "help" parameter. This can be exploited to conduct a directory traversal attack.

Example:
/cgi-bin/gbrowse?help=../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../etc/passwd%00

Solution:
Update to version 1.54:
