Description: PUPET has reported some vulnerabilities in SimpNews, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed to the "path_simpnews" parameter in eventcal2.php and eventscroller.php isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.
Some other scripts may also be affected.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in versions 2.01 through 2.13. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: The vulnerabilities have been fixed in some version. Update to version 2.31.0.
Provided and/or discovered by: PUPET
