Description: Three vulnerabilities have been reported in Teledat DSL Router 530, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) on a vulnerable router.
1) An error in the handling of incoming traffic can be exploited to crash the router by conducting a normal port scan against it. The device has to be rebooted in order to regain functionality.
2) An error within the handling of certain packets can be exploited to crashe the router by sending certain data to port 515.
3) An error within the handling of ICMP requests can be exploited to make the router unresponsive for a period of time by sending ICMP echo requets to about 50 or 100 IP addresses.
Solution: Use another product.
Provided and/or discovered by: 1) Markus a Campo
2-3) Stefan S.
Changelog: 2005-01-12: Added information about two other issues.
