Description: Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in GNATS allowing malicious local users to escalate their privileges.
GNATS version 3.002 and 3.2:
1) Heap based overflow in "pr-edit" (Problem report editer) when handling the "-d" parameter.
2) Stack based overflow in "pr-edit" in the handling of lock files.
GNATS version 3.113 and 3.113.1
3) Heap based overflow in "en-index", "pr-edit", "queue-pr" in the handling of environment variables.
Solution: Remove the setuid bits from GNATS binaries. Note: This may limit functionality.
