Description:
Debian has reported a vulnerability in webfs, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the handling of Request-URI. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by sending an overly long, specially crafted HTTP request.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code on a vulnerable system with the privileges of webfs.

Solution:
The vulnerability has been fixed in webfs version 1.18 and later. The latest version may be downloaded at:
http://bytesex.org/misc/webfs_1.19.tar.gz
