Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Acrobat Reader allowing malicious people to create documents, which can execute arbitrary commands.

This is known to affect Unix based versions. It has not been confirmed, whether this also affects Mac, and Windows versions.

The problem is that links, which activate external programs, may include malicious meta characters. This allows a document to execute arbitrary commands with parameters in the context of the logged in user and could be exploited to gain system access.

It has been reported that users need to click on the link.

The vulnerability has been reported to affect Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.06. It may also affect other versions.

Solution:
We recommend that you do not open PDF documents, unless you have verified it's authenticity.
