Description: A vulnerability has been reported in SMC Barricade Wireless Router, which can be exploited by a malicious person to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) on the device.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of certain packets. This can be exploited by sending a specially crafted packet to the PPTP service (port 1723/TCP) on the internal interface, which will cause the device to stop responding.
The vulnerability is reported in Barricade Wireless Router version SMC7004VWBR.
Solution: Update to firmware version 1.23:
