Beskrivelse:
Der er identificeret flere sårbarheder i Opera version 7 til Windows grundet utilstrækkelige restriktioner, hvilket kan resultere i afsløring af diverse følsomme informationer.

En ondsindet person kan udnytte sårbarhederne via et XSS-angreb (Cross-Site Scripting) ved at lokke en bruger ind på et ondsindet website, hvilket giver mulighed for at gøre følgende:

- Læse vilkårlige filer på brugerens system
- Afsløre indholdet af et bibliotek på brugerens system
- Læse emails skrevet eller modtaget med M2 (Opera's mail-klient)
- Afsløre browser-historikken over tidligere besøgte websites


Secunia kommenterede disse sårbarheder første gang i november 2002, hvor brugere blev opfordret til ikke at opgradere til version 7.
