Description

ReactionIS has reported a weakness and two vulnerabilities in ForeScout CounterACT, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing and cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Input passed to the "a" parameter in assets/login is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "query" parameter in assets/rangesearch (when "fromIndex" is set to "0" and "main_selection" is set to "all") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

3) Input passed via the "a" parameter to assets/login is not properly verified before being used to redirect users. This can be exploited to redirect a user to an arbitrary website e.g. when a user clicks a specially crafted link to the affected script hosted on a trusted domain.

The weakness and vulnerabilities are reported in version 6.3.4.x and 7.0.x. Other versions may also be affected.
