Description: Oliver Karow has reported a vulnerability in WebTrends, allowing malicious people to determine the WebTrends installation path.
Error messages returned when an invalid "profileid" parameter is supplied to the "viewreport.pl" script includes information about the installation path. This could potentially be valuable information when conducting other attacks.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 6.1a build 7591. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Filter traffic to ensure that only trusted IP addresses can connect to the WebTrends service.
