Description: Rafel Ivgi has reported a vulnerability in NetCam, allowing malicious people to gain knowledge of sensitive information.
The embedded Boa web server (0.93.15) fails to verify HTTP requests properly. This can be exploited to view files outside the web root via classic directory traversal attacks using the "../" character sequence.
Solution: If possible upgrade the Boa web server as later versions aren't vulnerable.
Later versions of the Boa web server also support chroot'ing.
Alternatively, use a proxy or firewall with URL filtering capabilities.
