Description:
Sun has acknowledged a vulnerability in SunForum, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to various errors in the processing of H.225 messages over TCP. This can be exploited to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted messages to the system (default port 1720/tcp).

The vulnerabilities affect the following versions on the SPARC platform:

* SunForum 3D 1.0 (for Solaris 8 and 9)

Solution:
Apply patches.

SunForum 3.2 (for Solaris 2.6, 7, 8, and 9) or earlier:
Apply patch 111526-15 or later.

Note: SunForum 3D 1.0 requires an upgrade to SunForum 3.2 with patch 111526-15 to resolve this issue.
