Description:
KF has discovered a vulnerability in Ultr@VNC, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges on a vulnerable system.

The problem is that Ultr@VNC invokes Internet Explorer with SYSTEM privileges when a user clicks the tray icon and selects "Online Help" or "Home Page". This can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands on a system with escalated privileges.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.0.0 RC11. Prior versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Do not install Ultr@VNC on systems with untrusted users.
