Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in Novell iChain, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks against users.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the web server. The problem is that user input supplied in the "url" parameter is not sanitised before being included in failed login error pages. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML or script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation can result in disclosure of various information (e.g. cookie-based authentication information) associated with the site running Novell iChain or inclusion of malicious content, which the user thinks is part of the real website.
Solution:
Update to build 2.2.113 or later.
