Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Ganglia, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in gmond when handling certain packets. This can be exploited to crash the service by sending a specially crafted packet advertising a user-defined metric with a one byte long name string.
Solution: Update to version 2.5.5.
