Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in fetchmail, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when allocating memory for long lines. This can be exploited by sending a specially crafted email, which causes fetchmail to crash.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 6.2.4. Prior versions may also be affected.

Update to version 6.2.5:
