Description: A vulnerability has been reported in mIRC, which can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an undisclosed error during the handling DCC requests, which can be exploited to crash a user's client. No further information is available.
The vulnerability has been reported in all 6.x versions including the latest 6.11.
An exploit is available. This is reportedly being used actively for hostile channel takeovers and stealing users' nicks.
Solution: This has been fixed in version 6.12:
