What is Secunia Virus Information
Secunia Virus Information collects, groups, and indexes virus information from the largest and most recognised anti-virus vendors. This is used to create a searchable index of virus information, allowing you to view grouped virus profiles despite different vendor naming conventions. Additionaly, virus profiles provide links to complete and in-depth descriptions, removal tools, and other information from the vendors' websites.
A grouped virus profile contains the following data if it is available:
- Virus aliases
- Vendor severity ratings
- Vendor changelogs
- Short descriptions
- File sizes
- Grouped virus profiles with information from several anti-virus vendors
- Links to removal tools/instructions
- Links to extensive vendor reports
- Searchable index of all virus information
Secunia Virus Alerts
When certain conditions are triggered, Secunia will send out alerts notifying about possible new virus threats. You can sign-up to receive free virus alerts here.
