Description:
A vulnerability has been identified in pam_smb, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling passwords. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow and potentially execute arbitrary code on the system.

Versions 1.1.6 and prior are vulnerable.
